As of the night of January 22nd, our very own L649 Vice President, Michelle Oulton was elected as 2nd Vice President of Timmins & District Labour Council and there were a few items from the January 22, 2025 meeting that she would like to share:

  1. Day of Mourning is April 28th every year and we are encouraged to share news of a ceremony that takes place every year at 11:00 am at the Miners Memorial in Schumacher. This is ceremony is always organized by the Timmins & District Labour Council, and is often attended by the Mayor, MPPs, and often Charlie Angus!  This event touches the lives of all workers so mark your calendar & spread the word – we would love to see you out there this year!
