We are writing to inform you about our upcoming General Membership Meeting (GMM) scheduled for February 21, 2024, at 12:00 PM in the OGC Boreal boardroom. Your attendance and participation in this meeting are crucial as we have several critical votes that require discussion and decision-making.

Among the key agenda items are votes on the 2024 budget, OPSEU Regional (April 6), and the OPSEU Convention (April 25). To facilitate a thorough review of the budget, it will be sent to all members ahead of time. We encourage you to take the time to review the budget and submit any questions you may have prior to the meeting through our Local 649 web portal.

Regarding the OPSEU Regional and Convention, we are seeking to send delegates and alternates in person, while providing the option for observers to attend virtually. Your input and engagement in these decisions are vital to ensuring effective representation and participation.

Please be aware that our GMM is scheduled for a tight one-hour window, and it is crucial that we keep our discussions concise and to the point. We understand the importance of your time, and to express our appreciation for your participation, lunch with food and drinks will be provided during the meeting.

In summary, mark your calendars for February 21, 2024, at 12:00 PM, and be prepared to discuss and vote on the 2024 budget, OPSEU Regional, and the OPSEU Convention. We value your input and look forward to your active involvement in shaping the direction of Local 649.
